Gas stoves and gas water heaters bring comfort and convenience to people's lives. They are an important role in kitchen appliances. Gas fireplaces are also favored by more and more consumers. Wang Qi, director of the China Gas Heating Professional Committee, said that when the gas appliance is in normal operation, the smoke emitted will contain a certain amount of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. In recent years, the number of carbon monoxide poisoning in gas water heaters has reached hundreds of people. The toxicity of nitrogen oxides is nearly a thousand times that of carbon monoxide. It not only harms the human respiratory system, but also causes respiratory infections and even emphysema. It is also one of the sources of acid rain and photochemical smog pollution.


Therefore, the national standard has strict limits on the emission of nitrogen oxides from gas. Especially in today's increasingly smoggy weather, relevant policies have become increasingly strict with regard to the control of toxic and harmful gas emissions. For example, the national standard GB25034-2010 "Gas Heating Water Heater", which was implemented on July 1, 2011, has a nitrogen oxide emission level 5 standard (ie, the minimum emission of carbon oxides), and requires nitrogen oxide emission from gas fireplaces. Not more than 70 mg / kWh, and the "Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard" issued by Beijing recently stipulated that the nitrogen oxide emission of gas boilers should reach 64 mg / kWh; the national standard for carbon monoxide emissions is also There are strict limits, such as the national standard, the carbon dioxide emissions of gas water heaters shall not exceed 600ppm. However, in the annual national quality inspection, some unqualified products will be found.


The new standard focuses on environmental indicators


“The leading enterprises in the industry have been actively taking action. At the same time, national standards will also put forward more stringent requirements on environmental protection indicators.” Liu Runfeng, vice chairman of China Hardware Association, told reporters that the revised national standard “Home Gas Water Heater” was launched in 2010. It has been reported to the National Standardization Management Committee, in which “energy efficiency” and “low carbon environmental protection” are the focus of the standard revision.


It is understood that in the existing national standard, the thermal efficiency requirement of the product is 80%, and in the energy efficiency standard of the gas water heater implemented on July 1, 2007, the bottom line of the product thermal efficiency is 84%. Therefore, the new national standard will be "the product thermal efficiency of more than 84%" as a revision. At the same time, the new national standard will also be adjusted in terms of product safety. In terms of safety and reliability testing, the safety requirements of the four core components such as air valves, burners, heat exchangers and electric controllers will be improved. In terms of environmental protection, it is required that carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and other waste discharges should be low, and gas should be fully combusted. In addition, the requirements for the stability, intelligence, constant temperature control, and comfort of the water used in the product are increased.
